Attending the live event was a truly unforgettable experience. The Kathakali dancers performed with such grace—it was a blissful sight! The Martial Arts display that followed took it to another level. It's definitely worth the money. Make sure to arrive early in the morning to secure your tickets as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Early birds get the front rows!
The Kalari show was absolutely superb, with excellent seating arrangements. The masters were incredibly athletic and strong, showcasing their skills with confidence. Their fire and jumping performances were breathtaking, leaving the audience in awe. The crowd couldn’t stop clapping and showed immense respect for this ancient Indian martial art.
If you’re in Thekkady, even for just one day, you absolutely must visit Kadathanadan Kalari Art Center in the evening for an incredibly fantastic show. It’s truly one of the best experiences you can have here, and it’s totally worth the ticket price. I enjoyed every single moment of it. The show starts in the evening, and we attended at 6 pm.
The highlight of my entire trip was watching the Kathakali and Kalari show! My heart is so full after witnessing such beautiful art. Each show is priced at Rs 200 per person, and it’s something you absolutely must see when in Thekkady. I still rewatch the videos and can’t get over how beautifully the artists portrayed their culture and talent. Huge respect!
The artists were exceptionally well-trained, excelling in their craft. Although the show started 15 minutes late, it was executed flawlessly with the right background, narration, and interpretation of each gesture. The coordination between the artists was perfect, making the show incredibly engaging. If you appreciate art and culture, don’t miss this.
